Exhibits and Events

Throughout my professional activity of zoological at the Museo Regionale di Scienze Naturali I have often carried out many exhibits. In fact, I strongly believe that the museological activities are a crucial tool to diffuse knowledge on the natural history and overall phenomena, and on the conservation of our planet’s biodiversity.

Most recently, I acted as curator of the exhibit entitled ESTINZIONI biodiversita’ dei vertebrati in allarme rosso. This exhibit, carried out in the period 22th November 2017 – 14 February 2018, was the result of a collaboration between MRSN, MUSE Museo delle Scienze di Trento, Zoological Museum in Padua, and Fem2, a spinoff of University of Milano Bicocca. This project, which was entitled PROGETTO ESTINZIONE, got financial support of MIUR (Ministero dell’istruzione, dell’università e della ricerca).

The exhibit was particular successful, due to the high number of visitors (around 20,000 in 3 months) and the participation of several scientists, museologists and politicians. The sad effects of biodiversity erosion were shown and indications were provided in respect to the role of natural history museums.

The video entitled “La sesta estinzione”, realised by CinemAmbiente on the occasion of the exhibit ESTINZIONI.
